Learn how to start labeling in the portal to get more in-depth analytics and standardize your organization's work.
Overview
Labeling allows you to tag elements within the portal to identify them for further analytics. You can establish a standard for organizations with multiple regions, allowing more accessible data aggregation and migration.
Before you start
Here are some things you must do before you start:
- Please contact your Client Success Manager to enable Labeling as a module in your domain.
- Establish an organizational naming convention. Labeling is most effective when standard labels are established across the whole organization. For instance, you may refer to armed personnel as security officers and unarmed personnel as security guards. Find a rubric that works best for your company and establish it at the top level.
- Labeling is done at the HQ level and pushed down to the rest of the organization. To ensure standardization, do all your work at this level.
- Labeling is applied to multiple entities in TrackTik but initially is only available to Positions.
- Turn on the Manage entity labels permission. To turn on the permission, go to Settings > Roles & Security > Administrator > EntityLabels and select Manage Entity Labels.
Once enabled, you can see Entity Labels in Settings > Operation Configurations.
