The Break Summary Report in the Back Office Software Suite (BOSS) includes a standard agreement clause when a guard clocks out and confirms their break summary.
This clause typically states:
I agree that I was able to take my rest & meal break(s) during my scheduled shift.
Administrators can configure whether this clause appears in the report using a global setting. This allows for flexibility in compliance and reporting preferences across different client regions.
Configuration setting
The clause display is controlled via a toggle setting located in the Scheduling configuration panel.
Setting location
- Path:
Settings → General → Scheduling → Suppress standard agreement clause on Shift Break Summary Report - Options:
- Off (default): Clause appears in the report.
- On: Clause is suppressed if the guard agreed at clock-out and an exception exists.
- Inheritance:
Regional settings can inherit from parent or be explicitly set to Yes/No.
Behavior conditions
The clause suppression logic depends on two conditions:
- Guard Agreement: The guard must select “Agree” during clock-out.
- Exception Presence: The shift must include an exception.
If both conditions are met and the setting is enabled, the system omits the clause from the report. If no exception exists, the report remains unchanged regardless of the setting.
User interface impact
- Scheduling Settings: A new configuration line appears for clause suppression.
- Break Summary Report: Layout remains unchanged except for the presence or absence of the clause.
- Regional View: Admins can apply settings per region or inherit from parent.
