Signaling your presence in TrackTik SHIFT

Learn how to signal your presence as a mobile user in Lone Worker to let admins and managers know you’re okay.

Overview 

If you get a push notification or hear a siren while using TrackTik SHIFT, you need to signal your presence.

If you are in TrackTik SHIFT and hear a siren for the first time, you need to signal your presence. If you don’t signal your presence, the siren continues until the set grace period; the second siren starts one minute before this grace period ends.

Getting notifications on all devices

To make the most of Lone Worker for TrackTik SHIFT, we recommend devices not be in battery-optimized modes and to allow notifications:

  • Android
    • If you have battery optimization or battery restrictions turned on, you won’t get Lone Worker signal notifications from TrackTik SHIFT. To turn off battery optimization:
    • Press and hold the SHIFT icon.
    • Select App info.
    • Choose Battery.
    • Select Unrestricted or Not optimized.

  • iOS
    • Make sure the iOS settings allow for notifications. If you need more help, check out Apple Support


Signaling presence in Lone Worker for TrackTik SHIFT

You can signal your presence in TrackTik SHIFT from two places: the Clock-in and Lone Worker areas:

Clock-in area

To signal your presence in the Clock-in area:

  1. Log into TrackTik SHIFT.
  2. Select the Shift icon.
  3. Choose the current shift.
  4. Select Signal Presence.

Lone Worker area

To signal your presence from the Lone Worker area:

  1. Log into TrackTik SHIFT.
  2. Select the Profile icon.
  3. Choose Lone Worker.
  4. Select Lone Worker Schedule.
  5. Select Signal Presence.

The signal is recorded for the admin or manager to see.
