Incident Analytics

Overview

Incident Analytics provides data about incidents reported by your security guards and is available in the Operations Reports tab at the Site and Zone levels. Each incident report automatically populates data into the charts shown below. TrackTik recommends adding incident categories to reports whenever possible. View and manipulate incident analytics to drill down into incident occurrences and trends.

You can begin by accessing the section of the site profile for incident analytics. Alternatively, you can access the feature directly from the Live Dashboard.

Troubleshooting Unexpected Incident Counts If your incident count appears higher than expected, it’s likely the dashboard or report is summarizing a broader scope than intended (all accounts, all locations, all users, or a wide date range). Use filters to isolate exactly what’s being counted.
Where to view and refine counts:
  1. Go to Operations Reports and open Incident Analytics.
  2. Apply filters to match your intended scope:
    • Account: select the specific client or site.
    • Location/Site: narrow to the exact location(s) involved.
    • User/Officer: include only relevant users.
    • Date Range: set explicit start and end dates; confirm time zone alignment with your account settings.
    • Form Type: filter to the specific incident form(s) you expect to be counted.
    • Status: choose Submitted/Approved (exclude Draft, In Progress, or Rejected if you don’t want them counted).

Troubleshooting steps

  1. Drill down: click into the count to list the underlying incidents. Verify which accounts, forms, and statuses are included.
  2. Exclude non-production data: remove test accounts/locations and archived sites with residual activity.
  3. Check for duplicates: sort by timestamp and title; open suspicious pairs to confirm whether they are true duplicates.
  4. Review automation imports: if you integrate external systems, ensure imports aren’t double-ingesting incidents.
  5. Confirm permissions: ensure you have visibility only to intended accounts; broad permissions can inflate totals if the report isn’t filtered.

Reconciliation tips

  1. Compare Incident Analytics totals with the Incident Log or a site-level incident list for the same filter set.
  2. If discrepancies remain after filtering, capture screenshots of your filter settings and the list view showing underlying incidents and share them with support to investigate.

Incident Analytics By Site Location and Section

  1. To view the details of the site location and its sections in your Dashboard, choose the Operation Reports tab and then Incident Analytics, OR
  2. Go to Sites/Zones /Department  →  Choose a Site/Zone/Department →  Operation Reports →  Incident Analytics.
  3. From the Incident Category drop-down menu, choose either:
    • On-Premise Site Location
    • On-Premise Site Sections

If you choose On-Premise Site Location, it displays/rolls up all site location and site section incidents into one pie chart.

When clicking on Building A in the Pie chart, all the Incident reports related to Building A, the First and second floors, will be displayed.

The column called Report Location displays the location where the report was filed.

If you choose On-Premise Site Sections, this displays site location & site sections incidents in the same pie chart.
