In TrackTik, premiums are crucial in ensuring fair compensation for security personnel who work under special conditions or during non-standard hours. These premiums can include additional pay for night shifts, overtime, holidays, or hazardous duties. Learn how to configure premiums for your employees.
Create an ad hoc pay premium
To create an ad hoc premium
- Go to Settings
- Choose Premiums
- Click + New Premium
- In the Type drop-down menu, choose Pay ad hoc. Based on the type you choose, you'll be given more options.
- Choose whether the premium will be applied Per Shift or Per Day
- Code: The code for the premium that will be displayed in Back Office Suite.
- Name: The name of the Earnings Premium, such as Health and Welfare Credit or Uniform Allowance.
- Premium Value: This is the amount that the employee will receive as an Earnings Premium for each hour worked
- Value is number of hours at base rate: This adjusts the premium value field to recognize the value entered as a number of hours, rather than a dollar value.
- Deduction: This allows you to change the premium to a deduction.
- Include in Overtime Calculations
- Globally accessible - The premium will be available to all regions.
- Use Premium Code on Payroll exports
- Click Save to finish creating the premium.
