ReportPro AI helps you improve the quality of reports by using generative AI. With its help, you can enhance text and generate informative summaries.
These features are available in both the web portal and mobile app.
What you can do with ReportPro AI
- Automatically enhance written content in report fields
- Generate a summary of the report’s key points
- Include the summary in the final report
- Track changes made to report fields
- Get the report Rating & Recommendations
Configure AI features in the portal
AI-enhanced reporting features are controlled through the release toggles and portal settings.
These toggles are not enabled by default.
To manage the feature availability:
- Go to Settings > Features.
- Locate the following toggles:
Note: These toggles are internal and typically managed by system administrators. Users will see the AI features in the portal once these are enabled for their region.
Enhance report contents
When filling out a report, you can use the AI Enhance option to improve the clarity and tone of your input.
This feature is available for standard text fields and comment boxes.
To enhance a field:
- Enter your text in the report field.
- Click AI Enhance.
- Review the suggested version.
- Choose to Approve, Reject, or Edit the AI-generated text.
Once approved, the enhanced text replaces the original. A footer is added to the report:
“This report contains text that was redacted by a Generative AI model.”
Generate and include report summaries
You can generate a summary of a submitted report to provide a quick overview of its contents.
This is especially useful for supervisors reviewing multiple reports.
To generate and include a summary:
- Open a submitted report in the portal.
- Click Summary.
- If a summary is available, click Include in Report.
Note: If no summary has been generated yet, the interface will display:
“A summary has not been generated for this report yet.”
View audit logs for report fields
The Report Fields Audit Log allows you to track changes made to report fields. This includes those enhanced by AI.
That way you can ensure transparency and accountability.
To view audit logs:
- Open a report.
- Click Report Fields Audit Log.
- Select a field to view its change history.
Report Rating & Recommendations
This feature uses AI to automatically score and review your reports. It checks reports accordingly to your own quality rules. Then it gives a score and suggestions for improvement.
What this feature does
- Scores reports automatically. Get instant, consistent ratings.
Uses your rules. Attach Report Rating Policies to your report templates. The AI uses these rules to check reports.
- Gives clear feedback. See a final score. See which rules passed or failed. Get specific tips to improve the report.
- Controls access. Use the View Report Rating permission to decide who can see the ratings.
How to turn it on and use it
- The administrator enables the feature in Settings > Features.
Go to any submitted report. Click the Report Rating & Recommendations button.
The AI will analyze the report. It will then show the score and recommendations.
Use roles and permissions to control access
ReportPro AI features are controlled through roles and permissions. These must be assigned to users in the Admin or Staff Portal under the Patrol role group.

Enable AI Summary of Report across a region
You can turn on the AI Summary of Report feature for all sites in a region, so you don’t have to enable it one site at a time.
Prerequisites:
- Make sure your role includes permission to manage feature toggles/flags.
- Confirm the AI Summary of Report feature is available in your environment.
To enable per site (if needed):
- Open the site in your portal.
- Go to Feature Toggles/Feature Flags for that site.
- Enable AI Summary of Report and save.
To enable across a region:
- Navigate to your region-level settings in the portal.
- Open the Feature Toggles/Feature Flags section at the region level.
- Locate AI Summary of Report and enable it.
- Save your changes.
Troubleshooting Tips:
For the AI-enhanced reporting to work on the mobile app, two things are required:
- Your user role must have the Report Field AI Enhancer permission enabled.
- The main region you belong to must have the AI feature turned on.
E.g. if your main region is HQ, enabling the AI feature for the HQ region would be required.
If ReportPro AI is enabled but officer or non-admin users do not see the AI star icon, use the checks below to ensure visibility across sites.
- Enable the feature globally and per site
- Global toggle: Confirm ReportPro AI is enabled in your organization or region settings.
- Site-level activation: Some features require site-level enablement. Check each site where officers need access and turn the feature on.
- Verify role permissions
- Officer role: Confirm the officer role has permissions for Report Field AI Enhancer and the Report Summary permissions (View/Generate/Include). These are required for the star icon to appear in report fields and summaries.
- Role inheritance: If you use role inheritance or site-specific role overrides, verify the officer role’s permissions at the specific site/region.
- Confirm user assignment and refresh their session
- Role assignment: Ensure affected users are assigned the correct officer role at the impacted sites.
- Sign out/in and clear cache: Have users sign out, clear cache/cookies, and sign back in to refresh UI permissions.
