System Locale Settings

Overview

System Locale Settings allow you to set your portal's time zone, currency, distance, date, and address format. The options configured here will apply to all system functions. If you have locations in different time zones, you can adjust them at the site level.

Adjust System Locale Settings

To set the system defaults:

  • Click Settings
  • Choose System Locale Settings
  • Complete the following fields:
    • Time Zone: Enter the name of the nearest large city to find the appropriate time zone. This ensures that Daylight Savings Time is properly applied.
    • Date Format: This will be the date format for the portal and any communications sent to your clients. Choose from:
      • American Date Format MM/DD/YY
      • International Date Format YYYY-mm-dd
      • UK Format dd-mm-yyyy
    • Time Format: This will be how time is displayed in the portal. Choose from:
      • 24 hours
      • 24 hours with time zone abbreviation
      • AM/PM
      • AM/PM with time zone abbreviation
    • Time Format Export: This will be how the time is written on any data exported from the portal, such as reports. Choose from:
      • Default (System's Settings)
      • 24 hours
      • AM/PM with leading zero
      • AM/PM without leading zero
    • Currency: Enter the symbol for the currency used in the portal—for example, $.
    • Address Format: Choose the appropriate country from the drop-down list. If your country isn't listed, please contact us for assistance. 
    • Distance Format: Choose between mi or km.
  • Click SAVE to apply the settings.
