Learn how to schedule ad hoc events for Mobile Patrol.
Overview
Adhoc events give the Patrol planners more flexibility when they receive non-recurrent requests from clients. The template defines these events to add or replace recurrent jobs to a specific date in the live schedule (live) view.

- Select schedule template
- Select Price Tier

- Select Route Position
- Select Time, Min, # frequency
- Select Adhoc
Note: you cannot use the "start date" and "end date" fields for Adhoc items.

Reassigning an active patrol mid-shift
Guards cannot simply "pick up" a different patrol route mid-shift without an administrative reassignment.
Use the Reassign Patrol action to transfer an active patrol to another guard.
To reassign an active patrol:
- Navigate to the Mobile Dispatch, Active Patrols, or schedule view where active patrols are listed.
- Select the active patrol that needs reassignment
- Select Reassign Patrol.
- Choose the guard who will take over
- Set the effective time of the reassignment (immediate or a specific time).
- Confirm the change. The new assignment appears on the guard’s schedule and route list.
Permissions and notes:
- Only users with appropriate admin/dispatcher permissions can perform reassignments.
- Reassignments update audit logs and reporting so you can track who performed the change and when.
- If frequent mid-shift switches occur, consider creating guidance for dispatchers and guards to minimize gaps and duplicated coverage.
Reassigning or canceling a runsheet
You can reassign a runsheet or cancel a job when all jobs within the runsheet need to move to the best available. You can cancel jobs and set them to 'MISSED" due to the inability to recover from those jobs.
