You can allow staff to edit shifts and schedules while limiting their access to other admin functions.
Overview
Some staff roles (for example, a site supervisor) may need access to edit shifts and schedules to respond to business needs. Learn how to provide the necessary permissions to give them this flexibility.
Before you start
Here are some things you must do before you start:
- Activate Scheduling in your TrackTik portal. Contact us to add this feature
- Have the necessary admin access to edit roles and permissions.
Assign scheduling permissions to a staff role
To assign the permissions to allow staff to edit schedules:
- Click Settings
- Select Roles & Security.
- Choose the Roles/Permissions tab
- Click Staff Portal Roles
- Choose the staff role that needs permission
- Expand the Scheduling folder
- Check the boxes next to:
- Edit shifts
