The Message Board provides a centralized location to view and manage important communications.
It works for both:
- region
- site level.
You can review announcements, alerts, general messages, and B.O.L.O. notices.
What you need:
Message Board tile is available on your dashboard.
It'll look like this 👇
Access Message Board
- Log in to TrackTik.
- From your dashboard, locate the Message Board tile (as shown above).
- Select the Message Board tile to open the message list.
The Message Board opens showing all messages for your selected region or site.
Understand message states
Messages have three possible states with visual indicators:
| State | Color indicator | Icon | What it means |
| Not acknowledged | Blue | No icon | New or unread messages requiring your attention |
| Acknowledged | Green | Thumb-up icon | Messages you have reviewed and acknowledged |
| Archived | Grey | No icon | Older messages that are no longer active |
View and filter messages
Default view
By default, the Message Board displays all Not acknowledged messages in a table view. This ensures you see messages that need your attention first.
View all messages
To see messages in all states:
- In the Message Board, look for filter or view options.
- Select All messages or a similar option in your local language.
- The table now displays messages regardless of their acknowledgment status.
Message details
Each message in the table shows:
- Category label (Announcement, Alert, General, B.O.L.O., etc.)
- Attachment indicator (if the message has files attached)
- Post date
- Status (Not acknowledged/Acknowledged/Archived)
Work with messages
Expand message content
- In the message list, select any message item.
- The message expands to show the full content.
- Select the message again to collapse it.
Acknowledge a message
- Find a message with a blue (Not acknowledged) indicator.
- Select the message to expand it if needed.
- Look for and select the acknowledgment option.
- The message changes to green (Acknowledged) and shows a thumb-up icon.
Note: When you acknowledge a message, it is automatically removed from the default "Not acknowledged" table view.
View message attachments
If a message contains attachments:
- Look for the attachment icon next to the message.
- Select the message to expand it.
- Find and select the attached file to download or view it.
Navigate to related sites
From the Message Board, you can navigate to specific sites mentioned in messages if you have the appropriate access permissions.
Message Board availability
The Message Board tile is available to users with these roles:
- ADMIN
- STAFF
- CLIENT (with appropriate permissions)
If you don't see the Message Board tile on your dashboard, contact your system administrator to verify your role and permissions.
Troubleshoot Message Board access
Message Board tile is not clickable
- Refresh your browser page
- Clear your browser cache and try again
- Contact support if the issue persists
Cannot see certain messages
- Verify you're in the correct region or site context
- Check if filters are applied to the message list
- Contact your administrator if you believe you should have access to missing messages
Attachment won't open
- Ensure you have permission to view the file type
- Check your Internet connection
- Try downloading the attachment instead of opening it directly
