Overview

When you have Open Shift requests, you need to approve or decline them in the Admin Portal.

Approving or declining an Open Shift request in the Admin Portal

To approve or decline an Open Shift request in the Admin Portal:

  1. Log into the Admin Portal.
  2. Select Dashboards.
  3. Select Schedules & Attendance.
  4. In Attendance & Resolution, choose Vacant Shifts.

  5. Switch the All vacant shifts dropdown menu to Open Shifts.

  6. Select the date range picker and set the range.

  7. Select Apply.
  8. Find the site you're managing, and in the Active Requests column, select the # Request button.

  9. After reviewing the Open Shift request details, select APPROVE to approve the shift or DECLINE to decline the shift:

    • If you approve the shift, you have three options:
      • In the Note box, add an admin note; this isn't shared with the security officer, but it's notes for you and other admins.
      • To acknowledge the shift, select Acknowledge Shift.
      • To notify the security officer of the shift change, select Notify of Shift Change.

    • If you decline the shift, to notify the security officer of the shift change, select Notify of Shift Change.

  10. Select Save.

The approved shift is now available in the site schedule. Declined shifts don't appear in the site schedule.
