Configuring the geofence triggers makes it possible to customize how the system will handle the geofence notifications. Since you can configure these notifications by site, each site can use triggers differently. For example, notifications may only be required at specific sites when a user enters a Restricted zone. In contrast, ensuring the user remains in an Allowed area on other sites may be more critical.
Min. GPS Accuracy: Set the minimum accuracy for a GPS signal. TrackTik will only trigger the notifications if the accuracy of the GPS signal is within the accuracy parameter set here. You can use this to minimize the number of false notifications due to the fluctuating accuracy of recalibrating GPS signals.
Outside of Zone Detection: This trigger will sense when the user's location is not in a defined geofence zone.
Create System Exception: The system can log an exception ticket upon triggering a notification. The Live Dashboard will display tickets in the "System Exceptions" tab, such as a "Disabled GPS" exception.
Entering a Zone (Restricted or Allowed): Use the drop-down menu to select either "Send Notification" or "Do Not Alert." If "Send Notification" is set, TrackTik will trigger a notification every time a user enters a zone. Note that this option is listed in the Restricted and Allowed zones section.
Exiting a Zone (Restricted or Allowed): This option works the same as the "Entering a Zone" option explained above. The difference is that this option triggers a notification when the user exits a zone.
Reminder Frequency (in minutes): The Reminder Frequency will trigger notifications based on the frequency set here. While the two options above trigger when a user enters/exits a zone, this option will continue to send notifications based on the event options selected. For example, you can configure a notification for a user entering a restricted zone, but the security guard could remain in that zone for a period. You can configure the Reminder Frequency to send notifications every few minutes until the user exits a restricted area.
