NY Paystub: Separate overtime premiums

To meet New York State labor regulations, paystubs must itemize overtime premiums separately from regular pay. This article explains how to configure TrackTik BOSS to support this requirement when integrated with Paycor.

What’s Required by NY State

New York mandates that employee paystubs show:

  • Regular overtime pay
  • Overtime premium pay (typically the extra 0.5x portion)

Instead of a single line showing a blended rate, paystubs must break out these components.

How TrackTik Supports This

TrackTik BOSS (Back Office Suite) now includes a setting that enables NY-compliant paystub formatting when exporting payroll data to Paycor.

New Settings

  • Send Base Rate to Paycor
When enabled, TrackTik sends the base rate instead of the computed rate for each line item.
  • Show OT premiums separately from regular OT in payroll
    Located under:
Settings → Back Office Configurations → Payroll/Other Settings
    (Off by default)

What the Output Looks Like

When the setting is enabled and Weighted Overtime (WOT) is used:

HoursRate TypeRate
8Regular OT$20/hr
8OT Premium$10/hr

Instead of:

HoursRate TypeRate
8Blended OT$30/hr

This breakdown allows Paycor to generate paystubs that meet NY compliance standards.
