When your administrator enables clock-out confirmation, you must acknowledge your shift completion before clocking out.
The experience varies based on your administrator's configuration.
What you need first:
- CGA, NGA, or TT-Shift mobile app installed
- Clock-out confirmation enabled by your administrator
- An active shift ready to end
How clock-out confirmation works
Clock-out confirmation appears at the end of your shift. The system shows you a prompt that requires acknowledgment before you can clock out.

Where the prompt appears
The prompt's placement depends on your mobile app and shift configuration:

| CGA | After you complete all shift-end steps and select "Clock Out" |
| TT-Shift | After you complete all shift-end steps and select "Clock Out" |
| NGA without shift summary | Immediately when you select "Clock Out" |
| NGA with shift summary | After the shift summary screen, before final clock-out |
Acknowledge your shift completion
The type of acknowledgment required depends on your administrator's settings.
Option 1: Text acknowledgment only
If your administrator selects "None" as the acknowledgement type:
- When you finish your shift and select Clock Out, a text prompt appears.
- Read the confirmation message.
- Select:
- OK to acknowledge and clock out
- Cancel to return to your shift
Option 2: Signature required
If your administrator selects "Signature required":
- When you finish your shift and select Clock Out, a signature screen appears.
- Use your finger or stylus to sign in the signature area.
- Select Clear to restart your signature if needed.
- Select Confirm to submit your signature and clock out.
Option 3: Signature declined with mandatory reason
If your administrator selects "Signature declined + mandatory text reason":
To decline signing:
When prompted, select the Disagree button.

3. Select Submit to clock out.
Validation rules
The system prevents clock-out until you complete all requirements:
- If signature is required, you must provide a valid signature
- If you decline to sign when required, you must provide a text reason
- You cannot bypass the confirmation prompt
- All acknowledgments are recorded with your clock-out time
Troubleshoot clock-out confirmation
The prompt doesn't appear
- Your administrator may not have enabled clock-out confirmation
- The feature may be disabled for your specific site
- Contact your supervisor to verify configuration
Cannot submit signature
- Ensure you're drawing within the signature area
- Try a simpler signature with clearer strokes
Restart the signature using the Clear button
Cannot clock out after acknowledgment
- Check your internet connection
- Ensure you completed all other shift requirements
- Restart the mobile app and try again
- Contact your supervisor if issues persist
What happens to your acknowledgment
Your acknowledgment is recorded and available to:
- Your supervisor and administrators
- Activity reports (for users with proper permissions)
- Compliance audits
You can view your own clock-out confirmations in your activity history if you have the required permissions.
