Sign in to TrackTik Guard Tour using an NFC tag and a PIN

Overview

Rather than using your username and password for sign in, TrackTik Guard Tour can be configured to sign in with an NFC tag and a four digit PIN.  This gives you another secure and efficient way of accessing the application.

Before you start

In order to set up your NFC tag and PIN, there are a few things you need:

Set up a PIN

To use an NFC tag, you'll need a PIN.  To add a PIN, follow the steps below:

  • Sign in to TrackTik Guard Tour
  • Select Settings
  • Choose Change PIN
  • Enter the four-digit PIN of your choice
  • Re-type the PIN to confirm
  • You will be brought back to the home page and will see Your PIN has been changed.

Configure an NFC tag for sign in

Once you have configured your PIN, you can associate it with an NFC tag and use them together to sign in. Follow the steps below to configure your NFC tag:

  • If you haven't already, sign in to TrackTik Guard Tour.
  • Select the Team function
  • Choose your name from the list.  
    • Note that you must be assigned to the same site or zone as the device's license.
  • From the options, select Configure Card or Keychain

  • Scan the NFC tag with your device
  • The NFC tag and PIN are now configured and you can use them together to sign in.

Sign in to TrackTik Guard Tour using your NFC tag and PIN

Now that you've configured your NFC tag and PIN, you are able to use them to sign in to TrackTik Guard Tour. To sign in:

  • Select TrackTik Guard Tour from your apps
  • If you are not yet signed in, you will prompted for your user name and password.
  • Rather than entering your username and password, scan the associated NFC tag with your device
  • Enter your four-digit PIN.
  • You are now signed in to TrackTik Guard Tour.
