View details about Asset Types

Learn how to view details about your Asset Types in Asset Tracking.

 

Overview

You can view more details about your Asset Types to track them. To make it easier to see the information you need right away, you can use filters:

  • Status
    If the Asset Type is active, pending, or inactive.
  • Checkout status
    If the Asset Type is checked in or checked out.
  • Category
    The Asset Category where your Asset Type belongs.
  • Type
    The Asset Model Type where your Asset Type belongs.
  • Manufacturer
    The Asset Manufacturer that manufactured your Asset Type.
  •  

Filters are available based on the Asset Type.

 

Before you start

Here are some things you must do before you start:

 

View details about Asset Types

Asset Tracking allows you to search and filter your assets to get accurate information on their location, user, manufacturer, and more. 

 

To view details about Asset Types:

 

    1. In the navigation menu, choose the name of the Asset Type you want to view or change the status of.
    2. Search your Asset Types using the search bar or select a drop-down menu filter depending on your choice.

      > Each Asset Type lets you search by different filters:
  • Asset
    Filter by status, checkout status, category, type, and manufacturer.

  • Person
    Filter by type.

  • Model Type
    Filter by category, manufacturer, and supplier.

    1. Select the Asset Type from the list.
    2. Depending on your choice, you can view, track, and change the status of your Asset Type:
  • Asset

    • Checkout Assets or Check-in
      Check Assets in and out for a Person.

    • Archive
      Archive an Asset by selecting a reason in the Reason drop-down menu. Enter comments about the archival in the ‘Comment’ box and select SAVE.
    • Deactivate
      Select SAVE to deactivate an Asset.
    • DETAILS
      Select to review your Asset details. Select Meta information to see more details.
    • LOGS
      Select to review status changes for your Asset.
    • ASSETS
      Select to review a list of Assets in a Bundle.

  • Person

    • Checkout Assets or Check-in
      Checkout or check-in Assets for the Person.

    • Archive a person
      Select SAVE to archive an Asset Person.
    • DETAILS
      Select to review the Person’s details. Select Meta information to see more details.
    • ASSETS
      Select to review which Assets are associated with this Person.
    • LOGS
      Select to review a Person's status changes.

  • Model Type

    • DETAILS
      Select to review your Asset Model Type details. Select Meta information to see more details.
    • ASSETS
      Select to review which individual Assets belong to this Model Type.
  • Category
    • DETAILS
      Select to review your Asset Model Type details. Select Meta information to see more details.
    • TYPES
      Select to review Asset Types that belong to this Asset Category.
    • ASSETS
      Select to review which individual Assets belong to this Asset Category.

  • Asset Manufacturer

    • Details
      Select to review your Asset Manufacturer details.
    • Meta information
      Select Meta information to see more details.

  • Asset Supplier

    • Details
      Select to review your Asset Supplier details.
    • Meta information
      Select Meta information to see more details.
