Importing a CSV file   with Assets can streamline your Asset creation process.

Create Assets with Asset Batch Import

You can create Assets by uploading a correctly formatted CSV file to Asset Tracking.

To create an Asset with Asset Batch Import:

1. From the Home screen, select + CREATE.
   
   
2. Choose Asset Batch Import.
3. Select DOWNLOAD TEMPLATE.
4. Complete the template.
   
   The template is organized into six columns:

• • type.name
    The name of the Asset Model Type. For example, Toyota.

• • name
    The name of the Asset. For example, vehicle.

• • barcode
    The barcode of the Asset. For example, 12345678.

• • description
    The description of the Asset. For example, site vehicle.

• • status
    The status of the Asset. There are three possible statuses:

• • • Active

• • • Pending

• • • Inactive

• • serialNumber
    The serial number of the Asset. For example, 12345678.

1. Select Select a CSV file.
2. Locate the file on your device and select Open.
3. Select UPLOAD.
   > Your CSV file must not be more than 2000 rows. 

Your Assets are now available in the Asset area.
