This glossary defines many standard terms used throughout the TrackTik Help Center. Use it as a reference and to navigate the manual. Refer to it as you learn about guarding suite features and best practices.
Flux d'activité : Le flux d'activité est un flux en temps réel des activités qui se déroulent sur le terrain. Il s'alimente au fur et à mesure que les agents de sécurité numérisent les points de contrôle, rédigent des rapports, pointent le début et la fin des quarts de travail, etc.
Gestion administrative : La Suite de gestion administrative de TrackTik est conçue pour apporter de la fluidité à vos opérations. Elle intègre de manière harmonieuse la suite d'opérations de gardiennage et la suite mobile avec les conditions de facturation de vos clients et les détails de la paie de vos employés afin d'augmenter l'efficacité de votre organisation. Vous pouvez alimenter automatiquement la facturation en gérant les détails du contrat dans TrackTik (planification des quarts de travail, des patrouilles et prise en charge des demandes supplémentaires). Checkpoint: A point inside or outside a building where an inspection is needed. You can read more about checkpoints here.
Checkpoint Tour: A Checkpoint tour guides the user through a series of Checkpoints, a point inside or outside a building where an inspection is needed. A Checkpoint tour will organize the visit to different areas throughout the Site, indoors or outdoors.
Client: A stand-alone Site with no association with a multi or other site.
Licence de portail client : Le portail client permet aux clients d'accéder à un tableau de bord affichant les activités réalisées sur leur site. Les clients n'ont accès qu'au site sur lequel le portail client a été créé. Si un client possède plusieurs sites, un site principal peut lui donner accès à des sous-sites.
Daily Activity Report (DAR): Summary Reports compile all activities completed for a day or shift. The summary report notifications automatically send these reports to site contacts. This is a way to automatically send a client a summary of all activities performed at their Site by day or shift.
Device License: Device Licenses can be created for mobile or dedicated guards. Mobile guards will need a zone license, which grants them access to all sites assigned to the zone. Dedicated guards will use a site license, which assigns their device to only work at a specific site.
Employee: Security industry personnel are defined as users in the TrackTik Solution.
Geofence: Ability to find an area (geo-localization) A virtual barrier; you can track, via GPS, your workforce and provide real-time notifications as users enter or exit the geographical boundaries you've defined. You can read more about geofences here.

Incident Analytics: TrackTik's automated reporting is based on incident categories. You can access the incident analytics under the Operations Reports tab. Incident reports completed by security guards will feed information into the incident analytics for the Site. Field data populates these charts in real time.
Incident Categories: These provide a validated list of the types of incidents guards may encounter. The list of Incident Categories drives other functionality in the system, such as notifications, incident analytics, and sub-forms (conditional report fields).
Incident Report: The incident report provides all the essential fields required to document an incident properly. Staff should complete this report for EVERY incident on the property. To correctly use this form, ensure you create incident categories and set up site locations. Officers tag a location and incident type in the report, relaying the information to your incident analytics.
Live Dashboard: The Live Dashboard provides an overview of all field operations. As security guards complete different activities in the field, the dashboard will update in real-time to show their actions. The dashboard offers management and dispatchers better visibility into what is happening in the field. Along with the monitoring features, the Live Dashboard allows you to message security guards and access different system areas.
Message Board: The Message Board is a centralized communication tool. Clients, security guards, and managers can access the Message Board for their Site to post and view messages. You can adjust the permission levels, giving clients or security guards "read-only" access.
Mobile Suite : Avec la Mobile Suite, améliorez la réponse et l'efficacité de vos services mobiles. Multi-Site: The parent site, usually the company's name, has child sites (sub-sites) attached. Multi-sites collect information from the sub-site attached to them. This can help benchmark sites that belong to a single account. Clients are also required to gain access to more than one Site using their client portal.

Onsite License: Onsite provides a web browser version of the mobile application that staff can use on any computer. This is commonly used at sites where the employee will be working at a desk and has access to a computer. Onsite provides basic functionality for creating reports, viewing post orders, time-keeping, and some functionality specific to supervisors.
Post Order: Post Orders are generally instructions or procedures for your guards. They can be available at a specific site or a specific zone. Post Orders provide a way to document the standard operating procedures for any site. These documents provide security guards with instructions on handling particular situations during their shifts. Post Orders can contain images, text, or attachments. Examples of post orders include emergency procedures (fire evacuation procedure), Site-specific or zone-specific Instructions (policy or code of conduct), and site-specific maps (Map of the location of each checkpoint in the building).
Position: Positions are essentially the same as posts and dictate where or how the security guard will work at the Site. They are required to create device licenses, prepare schedules, and bill. Positions in TrackTik allow administrators to set rules for the position, including site requirements, service period, bill items, bill rate, and employee pay.

Site: Where an employee works, or data is collected for activities. When defining new clients, this name is for child sites of a multi-site.

Simple Dispatch: Simple Dispatch is a complementary tool in TrackTik. This tool allows administrators to send report forms to guards. The report form acts as a task, and the guard can update the task's status until the report is completed. Completing a task requires the security guard to complete a few steps, such as updating the task to "In Progress," completing the report, and closing the task. The task's status will show in the Live Dashboard.
SMS Notification: Notification by text message.
Zone: Grouping of sites where one employee can access those sites. You can read more about zones here.
